Camp Gabika

Chelsea Community Education’s Summer Camp, Camp GABIKA: Grand Activities with Bold Imagination and Kinship in Adventure, creates a fun, safe space for kids to express themselves, explore new ideas and challenges, build lasting friendships and social skills while keeping their bodies and minds healthy and active. Our outstanding staff lead campers through our summer of fun, engaging camp activities, and games.

Campers participate in weekly activities including sports, games, arts, crafts, local walking trips, cooking and gardening with Chelsea Seniors, visits from the CDL Moblie Library, and off-site and front yard field trips! We have partnered with the Chelsea Wellness Coalition and 5 Healthy Towns Foundation for many years to encourage campers to move more, eat better, avoid unhealthy substances and connect with others.

Each day campers will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, comfortable closed-toe walking shoes, sunscreen, and an open mind, imagination, and a respectful and positive attitude!

This summer there are many exciting field trips already in the works including: Launch Trampoline Park, bowling at Chelsea Lanes, PAX Gymnastics, Air Zoo Museum, Chelsea fire station visit, splash pad, roller skating, and mini-golf (calendar of events will be posted prior to the start of camp). Campers will also be able to participate in water activities during the summer to cool off at camp such as Water World: sprinklers, and water games, and field trips to a sprinkler park.
