Tired of being tired? Feeling not quite yourself lately? Looking for other, more natural ways of healing? Often referred to as the ‘sister’ science of yoga, Ayurveda is the traditional healing system from India, which offers an alternative, holistic and self-led approach to healthier living that is simple, sensible and accessible to all, and which is rooted in an ancient, heart-led philosophy.
In this discovery session, you’ll be introduced to the fascinating theory and practice of Ayurveda, which encourages us to live in harmony with nature and its rhythms, and with our own nature or constitutional tendencies. We’ll talk about how best to transition fully into Spring, including advice on food choices, lifestyle habits and other practices that will help you clear out stuck, stagnated energy left over from winter and embrace the freshness of the new season and thrive!
Sue Whitmarsh, AYT500, is a local yoga instructor and certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor from Kripalu’s School of Yoga & Ayurveda. She has been a practitioner of both for over 15 years, and is passionate about sharing these two beautiful complimentary healing arts: “I believe that now is the time for access to alternative pathways to health. That prevention is better, where possible, than cure, and that we each have the keys to our own health and vitality within us. Ayurveda is the new health insurance. Invest in your health today and open up your senses, your mind, body and soul to its possibilities!”
Investment: $30 includes recipes and a nice cup of spring digestive tea
